Nurturing the Leaders of Tomorrow
Members Group of the Chicago Dental Society helps develop the future leaders of dentistry.
This group met with state legislators during the April 18, 2018 Capital Conference In Springfield, Illinois.
What We Do
We help develop the future leaders of organized dentistry
We volunteer our time to advance dentistry
We volunteer to treat patients in need
Organized Dentistry Role
We nominate members to become Officers of Chicago Dental Society and Trustees to the Illinois State Dental Society.
Nurture/Mentorship
Everyone associated with the group wants help more dentists become involved in organized dentistry. Dentists with different backgrounds participate and talk about professional choices, political involvement, and leadership of dentistry into the future.
Meetings and Dues
We meet 3 times a year at Maggiano's in Oak Brook.
Dues are $35 per year.

Dr. Terri Tiersky is a 1986 graduate of Loyola University Of Chicago School of Dentistry and a 1991 graduate of John Marshall Law School. She practices in Skokie and is married to Roland Davidson.
Illinois State Dental Society Officer
Alice G. Boghosian
Alice is on faculty at UIC as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and has a private practice in Park Ridge. Dr. Alice Boghosian graduated from DePaul University in 1981 and Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1985. She has been active in organized dentistry for years serving on the American Dental Association Council on Communications, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Illinois State Dental Society, past president of the North Side Branch of the Chicago Dental Society, and currently is President-elect of the Illinois State Dental Society. For several years now, she has been functioning very effectively addressing issues facing the Association and the profession. Dr. Boghosian is an experienced spokesperson for the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and a Consumer Advisor for the American Dental Association. She has conducted numerous interviews with print, television, and radio in Chicago, which is a top 5 media market. In addition, Dr. Boghosian has chaired both the Chicago Dental Society Communications Committee and the Illinois State Dental Society Public Relations Committee. Dr. Boghosian has been quoted in Real Simple Magazine, Redbook, Ladies Home Journal, USA Today, Prevention Magazine, the Chicago Sun Times, as well as a variety of national network affiliates in Chicago such as WLS (ABC), WFLD-TV (FOX), and WMAQ-TV (NBC). In her spare time, she is a Yogi, musician, gardener, and an avid supporter of the arts.
Dr. Phillip Fijal and his wife, Jan

Dr. Phillip J. Fijal is a 1986 graduate of Loyola University of Chicago School Of Dentistry. He is a recent grandparent! After practicing with his father Chester, a 1947 grad also from Loyola, for about a year, he bought his father's practice in 1987. He has done postgraduate training in comprehensive restorative dentistry completing the continuums at The L. D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL., and studied business management and leadership training for 18 years with The Pride Institute in San Francisco, CA.
